For the first time since 2019, three-day Nantwich Food Festival was back for its 21st year and saw over 40,000 people explore the town centre and discover a plethora of fantastic small local businesses, from handmade jewellery to sweet treats.
From Friday, September 2nd, to Sunday, September 4th, 200 exhibitors and food festival goers enjoyed a selection of live music acts, including Megan Lee, Oli Ng, Callum J Wright and ukulele band, Rebuked, Dayve Dean, Belle Aria and local pianist Andrea Lamballe. There was also plenty opportunity to sample delicious food and drink from artisan producers, as well as joining celebrity chefs for live cookery demonstrations.
Celebrity Chefs
The Boulton Group were proud sponsors of the Celebrity Chef Stage at the Civic Hall, and on Saturday welcomed Yorkshire-born Nigel Brown who runs his own cookery academy as well as Rosemary Shrager who runs her own online cookery school and is a regular guest on ITV’s The Alan Titchmarsh Show.
On Sunday, Coronation Street actor now celebrity chef and cheese maker, Sean Wilson created delicious recipes while entertaining the food festival’s visitors. Across the weekend, chefs from local restaurants (Dion Jones – Rookery Hall, Nantwich, Sean Noonan – Cotton Hotel, Knutsford and James Sherwin – Wild Shropshire Restaurant) also gave demonstrations.
Our fantastic ladies at Optimum Pay Group had a busy weekend, putting their face painting skills to the test and encouraging people to enter our competition to WIN four tickets to Chester Racecourse’s Season Finale on 24th September.
We had a fantastic reception at The Boulton Group’s stall, where people could win indulgent experiences, courtesy of our very own Optimum Experience. One lucky winner bagged a complimentary UK spa day for two and is looking forward to booking her next holiday through the luxury travel company!
Exceptional cocktails
The White Lion Weston, a 17th century Hotel, Restaurant and Bar, had its own stall at the Love Lane site. Showcasing a variety of options from the drinks menu and carrying out a live cocktail masterclass at the Reaseheath Food Theatre, they were amongst the festivities all weekend. Abi Evans, The White Lion General Manager said: “Myself and the team had a lively and enjoyable weekend, serving over 580 drinks and getting to speak with many of the visitors about all things White Lion. The cocktail masterclass was hugely popular and is something we would love to be a part of at future Food Festivals.”
Ellis Jackson, our Head of People joined the team across the weekend and reflected on the momentous event: “Being a part of The Boulton Group and having the chance to sponsor community focussed events such as The Nantwich Food Festival is what i’m passionate about. Our team thrived in the bustling atmosphere and got the chance to introduce our brands to the people and businesses of Cheshire and beyond!”
At The Boulton Group, we specialise in exceptional experiences and we’re looking forward to even more exciting events coming soon… Watch this space!
